About this campaign

We adopted Gracie at just 6 months old from a couple in California. She was being rehomed after some trouble with the family's chickens, and we brought her into our lives to be a service dog for my autistic brother. While her role shifted over time, Gracie has been nothing short of amazing — a calm, loyal, and loving companion through every phase of life.

Recently, we discovered a large mass on her throat, about 3 inches below her jawline. It’s firm, non-painful, and hasn’t affected her daily life yet — but it has doubled in size since April, and our vet says it needs to be removed before it causes serious complications with breathing or eating.

Gracie absolutely enjoys going for walks, whether or not the temperature is reasonable. She has always been a good dog towards all of the children that have been in her life. She came at a hard time in my life shortly after losing my childhood dog; healing my broken heart. We would be lost without her.

Unfortunately, we’re currently struggling financially and cannot afford the upfront cost of the surgery. While we’re prepared to cover any follow-up vet visits and aftercare, we simply can’t afford the cost of the surgery itself without help.
