About this campaign

We got Gracy when she was 4 months old from a co-worker. They could not care for her due to a family emergency. She has became a part of our family. We also have a chocolate lab that Gracy and her are best friends. Gracy is a gentle giant and our nickname for her is Smalls.

Gracy loves being around kids and other dogs. She has a lot of energy and until recently has been living life to it's fullest. We have another dog who is Gracy's best friend. They stick together all day and night. When they sleep they have to be touching each other.

Gracy loves to run around in the mud and comes inside to shake it off. She loves showers and taking tissue paper out of the bathroom garbage can. She plays with her toys all day and loves to play fetch. She also loves to get under her blanket and be covered up.

On 1/17/24 we had Gracy looked at at Summit Veterinary. She was diagnosed with congenital heart disease called pulmonary valve stenosis. Her disease is unfortunately severe and is the cause of her collapsing when she over exerts herself. Medication and this needed procedure to open her heart valve will widen the path of blood flow to the right side of her heart to go into her lungs.

We have 3 kids at home and 2 family dogs that we love dearly. We are not able to pay for her needed heart surgery. This expense could cost as much as $8,000. Gracy helps my middle child with his mental and learning disabilities. She helps my son with his depression also.
