Grayson came into my life when I was volunteering at a rescue. He was the runt of 13. When the vet was checking them all over she said she doubted he would live thru the night. I didn’t want him to die in a loud scary place not ever feeling love before he passed so I said I would take him home with me. He has been with me ever since. We are inseparable.

Grayson is the “bratty” little brother to our older dog always taking his toys and running away to make Denver chase and play with him. My family is very involved with dog rescue and Grayson takes each and every foster we bring home under his wing. No matter how small or big they are. He teaches them how to play toys and more importantly where to sit in the kitchen when you want a snack.

Grayson is the biggest of goofballs. His favorite toy is the bubble gun where he makes it his mission to pop each and every bubble before they hit the ground. He is a beast when it comes to playing soccer with us and is pretty good at skateboarding. He is scared of anything with wings and will run fast and furious to get away from moths and dragonfly’s.

Grayson had never shown signs of anything wrong. My daughter and I were out of town when my mom called and said he was acting weird.. 3 days after I got home he had his first pain “episode” and we rushed him to the ER. They did x-rays and said to see a neurologist. We have tried treating him conservatively with meds and bed rest, but it hasn’t helped. He is needing A Cervical distraction fusion.

I am a single mom that has been on disability since 2012. I did have a little money saved for emergency’s, but that is now depleted. He is my sidekick. On my lowest of low days he never fails to make me laugh or will just snuggle up close to me to let me know he is there.
