About this campaign
My son got Greg at a really bad place in Detroit. My son moved back to Virginia and evidentially got a job in Texas. He couldn’t take Greg, so I inherited him. Greg, along with his sister Pebbles, my dog, became the joys of my life. Greg loves everyone he sees and he looks out for Pebbles. He will wake me up even when Pebbles has to go out. He is the most loving dog I have ever owned.
Greg is glued to my hip. He has to have his eye on mom all the time. He and Pebbles love to play tug a war with their toys. If Pebbles needs to go out, or moans in her sleep, Greg will come and let me know. He loves visitors. He greets them with his unique howl like bark as if to say come on in, runs to get a toy then lies down while they visit. The kids in my complex adore Greg.
I am 65 on disability and have lung cancer. I make less than a $1000 per month Both my babies are on prescription food that cost $200 per month. Greg is so special to me. It kills me to see him suffer and I couldn’t bare to be without him. It would be like losing a child
Greg has all the symptoms of Cushing. Constant hunger, pot belly, panting, some lethargy and his liver enzymes are elevated almost 10 x’s normal. He has gained 13 lbs and his leg muscles are getting weaker. He needs a L600 blood test, low dose dex test and abdominal ultra sound. Dr. Weiss at Animal Hospital of Waynesboro has been treating him.
Greg is so loving, and will stay by my side if I don’t feel well. He makes me laugh all the time with his quirky facial expressions. The funniest thing I think he does is having to check neighbors bags or boxes. They all know when they see him to hold their bags or boxes down for him to smell. He definitely has them trained well. He even whines to play if he sees a cat.
