About this campaign
We rescued Gunnar from a kill shelter in Tennessee when he was only 4 months old. He was our first dog and immediately became our entire world. In February of this year, we added another pup to our family, Harley, and the two have been inseparable. They experience the world with us, from semiannual trips to Florida to watching us get engaged, they have been there for it all.
At only 6 months old, Gunnar was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. He was struggling to walk, sit, and play with other pups. Around the age of 1, he got introduced to the miracle drug of Librela, and he finally was able to start playing again, until this past weekend when he tore his CCL. Now, once again, Gunnar is sidelined and his only option is surgery at Pieper Olson Veterinary Hospital.
Gunnar is the definition of a love bug. He has never met a person or animal he did not like. It doesn’t matter if he has known you for seconds or years, he will climb into your lap as if he is a 5lb dog and snuggle up into you. Everyone loves him for his gentle, sensitive, loving nature. His little sister is his best friend, and he spends every weekend visiting & playing with his two fur-cousins.
Rocco and I are both teachers, living off a teachers salary, which we all know is minimal. Between regular life expenses, Gunnar’s monthly shot, & wedding planning, we have little to no wiggle room to afford this surgery to allow Gunnar to play free with his family again.
