Gunner is a 9-year-old German Shepherd in Fort Dix, NJ, who needs $680 for Radiology/Cytology.

Gunner is my husband’s dog but he’s my baby. My husband has had Gunner since he was a baby but he’s been in my life for about four years now and is my big cuddly baby. He’s been staying with me since me and my husband are now separated due to our jobs and me being stationed in New Jersey for the military.

Gunner is super sweet and loves everyone. He just wants to be pet by everyone and loves getting tons of attention and snacks. He will bark and try to guard the hose when anyone knocks but as soon as he sees that I’m okay he wants pets from whatever guests I have. He loves to follow me around the house while I’m cleaning and tries to take car rides with me whenever he can so he can go exploring.

Right now since me and my husband are living separately and just bought a house we are too tight on money to be able to afford paying for all of his medical needs.

Gunner was limping and we thought he may have hurt himself trying to play with some younger dogs but it turns out he has a tumor growing in his leg that will require his leg to amputated. He will have to go through chemo afterwards to get rid of the rest of the cancer in his body. We want to make him as comfortable and pain free as possible.

Gunner is super goofy and loves chasing water hoses and howling at police sirens. He will do anything for treats and loves his fruits and veggies. He is super good motivated and will immediately sit if you have food so he can show you that he’s trying to be a good boy. Gunner loves cuddling and taking naps with me.
