Gunner is a 8 year old Pug in Hickory, NC, who needs $1,500 for Tumor Removal.

We took Gunner in 5 years ago when his previous owner became ill could no longer take care of him. He was just a ball of energy the minute he stepped foot into our house. He has slowed down in his older age but he still follows us around the house and always demands a lap or a snuggle if we're sitting. Our grumble includes a lab mix and frenchie (both adopted), but he thinks he runs the show!

A sore popped up out of nowhere and he wouldn't leave it alone. We could tell he was uncomfortable so we got him into our vet at Blue Skies as soon as possible. They think he has a round cell skin tumor. It needs to be removed and biopsied to see if its cancerous.

Gunner is not the biggest fan of strangers, but once he trusts you he is just the sweetest boy. The quickest way to get on his good side is bribing him with treats. He will do anything for a cookie and he loves to show off his tricks. He is so smart and knows so many words, it's like having a toddler in the house. He can even get a little sassy when he doesn't get his way.

We are still paying off an emergency vet trip from this summer from our Frenchie. And with the cost of just basic living expenses going up, we just don't have the means to take on another vet payment right now. This tumor came out of nowhere.
