Gunnar is only 10 months old, but he has already become an irreplaceable part of Kevin’s family. Since joining the family in June 2025, Gunnar immediately adjusted to the household, forming a special bond with the two youngest boys and the high-energy springer spaniel. He has brought so much joy and comfort, especially as the family continues to heal from the loss of their oldest son.

On Thursday, 3/26/26, everything changed when Gunnar suddenly began bleeding from his urinary tract. The family rushed him to their vet, where he was diagnosed with a prolapsed urethra—a rare and serious injury. With few local vets experienced in treating this condition, Kevin and his family had to drive nearly two hours to an emergency clinic.

He's a gentle giant!! He bonded with everyone in the family immediately and is like another son to Kevin and Devin. He is beyond loved in and a huge part of the family.
