Gus is a 5-year-old Mutt in Huntersville, NC, who needs $2,000 for Liver Disease and Hepatitis.

Sweet Gus was rescued from a trailer park off of a Craig’s list ad almost 5 years ago to this day! He was a dream puppy, never chewing anything that wasn’t his, never barking, and always up for cuddles. Gus loves everybody, from the groomer to the vet. He is truly the sweetest boy we could ever imagine.

Gus is loved by our entire family. His puppy sister adores him, and he adores teaching her new things and protecting her. He is kind and loving to our 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Allowing them to walk him on leash without ever running off, protecting them from dangerous activities and when anyone is sad, Gus is aware and comes to cuddle.

Gus means everything to our family. This was so sudden, we are not ready for him to leave us yet and want to give him the best chance possible to recover and continue to impact people with his positive light.

Gus has been diagnosed with liver disease, hepatitis and internal bleeding in his abdomen. He will be staying for several days at the animal hospital where he will receive the constant care he needs to try to bounce back from this. Gus is at the Charlotte Animal Referral and Emergency in Charlotte, NC receiving care.

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Gus, he is one of (if not THE) kindest, most loving, caring dog you will meet. There isn’t a dog he doesn’t get along with, or a human. He always puts others first (letting his sister Molly drink and eat before him, always.) He never eats anything that is not his (the kids can leave their lunch on the coffee table, and he will not touch it.) He is an angel
