Gus is a 10-year-old Boston Terrier in Kansas City, MO, who needs $1,450 for oxygen kennel and antibiotic shots .

Our Gus is the best little man we have ever known. We have had him since he was just a wee little puppy. This year October, Gus is going to be 10! Gus lives in a house on about an acre or so with his other pet friends. Gus has dog, cat, & pig pals. He loves each and every one of them! Even though Gus is getting a little older, he still loves to play with toys and run around in the yard.

Gus loves to play almost as much as he loves to sleep. Speaking of sleeping, Gus will sleep pretty much anywhere. At night he usually starts sleeping in bed, then ends up on the floor, just because its cooler. Gus loves to play with all kinds of toys. Balls are definitely his favorite though! Although, if you give him a fluffy toy..... it's over! "Indestructible" means nothing in this house!

Earlier this week my son in law was shot and murdered. His family does not have the money to afford the funeral so I have donated a large amount of money towards the funeral, not expecting that something like this would happen. Gus is so loved, he deserves more time.

Gus is an all around healthy boy. However somehow he ended up with a large amount fluid in his lungs. He was taken to the Blue Pearl Emergency Vet in Lees Summit Mo because he suddenly stopped breathing. The vet is not sure what caused the fluid but believes he may have aspirated and with his smooshed nose, caused the fluid. His lungs are still not functioning well, he just needs more time.

Something that is so special about Gus is that he loves anyone and everyone he meets, dog, cat, human, it doesn't matter. Gus has so much love to give. Even now while he has been hospitalized, he is in good spirits and loving being around people. He puts a smile on everyones face. Gus has a lil short snoot so he snorts a lot. Everyone says he sounds like a pig, but we just think he sounds like Gus
