Gwen is an 8-year-old Bull Terrier in Hermitage, TN, who needs $2,000 for a small intestine repair.

Gwen is 8 years old and has a 13 year old brother she loves! We named Gwen cause she looking like a guinea pig as a baby and started saying Gwennie pig. So this is her nickname cause she is a little piggy! She loves sleeping in her cozy cave bed while we’re at work and enjoys antlers to chew on!!!!

Gwen is very vocal and loves to talk or rather, yell at us sometimes! She especially loves to go sit by the refrigerator for treats. She tries to play with her younger brother but gives up so she is loving toys. She completely guts her toys and then moves onto the next. Gwen loves to be with her humans as much as possible, follows us to every room and would be cuddling all day if we weren’t at work

With COVID, I was unable to work for 9 weeks. With the stress and cost of chemotherapy, this new finding has put us under more worry and stress. We just want her back to her old hyper self so she can live a long life with us!

Gwen was diagnosed with cancer in September. Halfway through her treatment we found that the tumors had shrunk too fast, leaving a hole in her small intestines. It’s temporarily fixed with blood vessels and fat but could rupture and cause her to go septic, which is fatal. So now an emergency surgery is happening so we can remove that area and hopefully continue with chemotherapy.

When I found out she had cancer,I broke down in tears.She stopped what she was doing and licked my tears away.She senses all our emotions and is always able to turn our day around if it’s not going well.She loves to be touched and wants to sit in your lap. She loves to chase her tail, and Huckle butt(spinning in tiny circles out of nowhere!)she’s so vocal sometimes we think she’s a dinosaur.
