Gypsy is a 13-year-old Shitzu in Four Oaks, NC, who needs $900 for Lump Removal.

We found our sweet Gypsy in May of 2016. We rescued her from a breeder that claimed "she is too big to groom and take care of." We immediately fell in love with her and we think she instantly felt at home with us. She was our first inside pet that we got before we got married and she has always been our first baby. We knew when we got her she was a little older but that didn't stop her at all.

Gypsy LOVES our family and loves our 2 year old daughter as well. Her favorite person though is her daddy John. She loves to cuddle up with him in bed at night and follows him around the house. She doesn't play with toys and we feel like that is because she was never taught or allowed to play. Over the years we have see her play her way or the "Gypsy Way."

We have discussed how with the vet the cost and with a fixed income and another baby on the way we just need help. We do not want to lose our baby but we don't know what to do. We know she needs surgery to keep her healthy but money is tight.

Unfortunately in the last year Gyp's health has gone down. We recently had to take her to the vet for Disc disease and bad teeth. Her former owner didn't care for her teeth or her health. So now we have learned that she basically has breast cancer. She has a mammary tumor that we have discussed with her vet with getting it removed.

Gypsy is special and has a great personality. She is a talker. It is so funny when she is wanting to lay down or go outside she makes this special grunting sound, it is like she is letting us know how she feels. She also will sing if you start singing. Right now she has become great friends with a kitten that we rescued. They curl up together and its sweet.
