About this campaign
I took Gypsy in a few months ago when she was found wandering on my street. I found her owner and returned her after 3 days with me. It came to my attention that she was again found wandering in the neighborhood a number of times and was sent to the pound twice. The second time, the owners surrendered her. Someone wanted to adopt her from the pound after she had been there several weeks but it was not a good fit so I took her in again to keep her from going back to the pound. She is a 10 year old senior with a lame leg; I was very worried that she would not get adopted so I worried about euthanasia. She is such a sweet and loving dog I couldn't bear the thought of that. Unfortunately I can't keep her. She has been with me for about 3 weeks now and my family members that have visited love her but none are able adopt her. It may be difficult to find her forever home with her leg injury. The previous owner confirmed that she has been limping for about 3 years. She is definitely in pain so I decided it would be best to get the diagnostic x-ray of her leg injury recommended by my vet (I have a cat). Once we know what the problem is, the next decisions can be made. She also needs a heart worm test and immunizations.
