Hades is a Rottweiler puppy in New Cumberland, PA, who needs $2,000 for Hip Replacement Surgery.

We met Hades when he was 5 weeks old and fell in love with him instantly, so the next 3 weeks were very hard while we waited until the special day when we could bring him home. He’s a sweet boy, but he was a little devil so the name Hades suited him very well and it stuck. Hades Dragon, if we’re being formal.

Hades has two older dog brothers, Ares (9 years old) and Niño (8 years old). It didn’t take long for them to welcome Hades into the pack and he’s the perfect little baby to our family. He loves to pick on his big brothers and vise versa, but that’s what brothers do. He truly is an angel, he might act fierce but it’s just a front.

Hades’ surgery will cost $7,500-$8,500. After spending $1,200 to diagnose him, we don’t have much left at all but he deserves a long, happy, and healthy life and we will do our absolute best to give that to him.

Hades has done 2 splits in his short life & also started limping & favoring his back right leg. Our vet was hoping it was soft tissue tenderness, but was worried it could be something worse. We took him to VRC in Malvern. There, we learned that his right hip socket didn’t develop properly, which is why his leg doesn’t always stay in place. He needs a new hip & we may only have 2-3 mos to decide.

Hades is a KISSER! Sometimes, it’s a little too much but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t, at least. He also loves tug-o-war, any toys that his brothers have, and he loves to lay down and really enjoy his meal. I know that’s not ideal but he likes to be comfortable while eating, and it’s cute. He will charm anybody he meets, I guarantee it.
