Halfstache is a 10 year old American Shorthair in Salem, OR, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy for Thymoma.

Halfers entered our lives with her brother Scar 10 years ago at 5 weeks old, needing to be bottle fed. She was prenamed Halfstache by the neighborhood kids due to her half mustache. She is such a loving girl who enjoys her pets and scratches and favorite hobby of napping on her back. She also enjoys lounging in our cat proofed backyard (with parental supervision).

She has a large noncancerous thymoma in her chest that's compressing her upper lungs and displacing her heart, esophagus, and vasculature. It makes her chest fill with fluid requiring aspiration, and causes a cough. It will continue to grow unless we treat it. VCA PNW can use radiation therapy with a good success rate and fewer side effects and only a 20% chance of recurrence over several years.

Halfers is such an intuitive kitty. If you are upset or not feeling well, she is right there to offer healing purrs and snuggles. Even with her current issue, she still enjoys playing with strings and chasing lights and jumping to the top of her perch. She loves her windows and enjoys bird and squirrel watching. She has grown up with her brother who would be devastated to lose her.
