Halo is a 10-year-old Chiweenie in Tucson, AZ, who needs $1,800 for Oral surgery teeth extraction .

After losing a pet suddenly, we decided as a family to go to the shelter to maybe see if anyone needed a home. My oldest daughter found her & wouldn’t leave her cage. She just knew, she needed us as much as we needed her. She was abandoned on the city streets at 9/l10 months old & was also abused. I was holding her & my earring cast a light over her head like a halo when she was being chipped.Halo

We are so lucky to have her in our lives. She is truly the most loving animal we have ever had. She loves everyone. Every cat, any size dog, people. Everyone. She is also my support animal & lives that up to the fullest. She is always there by my side & helps me through my darkest days. She is very much like a sister to my 2 daughters that she grew up with. They are very close to her. Very loved.

I unfortunately lost my job during Covid. I’m not receiving unemployment. But, it wasn’t a great job, it was part time and I was living paycheck to paycheck. I have no savings. I am looking desperately for work. I haven’t found anything. I don’t know how to help Halo.

Halo has had some issues with her teeth & it has unfortunately gotten to the point of needing them removed. She is full of absences & it’s serious. She needs surgery to have them removed. It’s making her very sick & she won’t be ok. She is being treated at Monument East Veterinary Hospital. I was able to lower the bill by about $500 dollars from the original estimate.That helps a bit.

Her genuine kindness and love. I’ve felt so fortunate to have her. She was so scared of things like feet. I’m assuming she was kicked early in life before the shelter. But, she couldn’t be more loving towards everyone. Never aggressive unless you count trying to sound tough & bark if someone is at the door. She really is the sweetest animal I’ve ever been lucky enough to be around.
