About this campaign

Hamari is just a kitten herself — and she’s already experienced heartbreaking loss. Last Saturday, Adopt a Cat Foundation received a call about a young Snowshoe kitten in need of help. She had been found by a woman’s daughter, but the responsibility of care ultimately fell on the mother. During that time, Hamari slipped outside, became pregnant far too young, and gave birth to three kittens. Tragically, all of her babies passed away within just a day or two. The woman who cared for her said Hamari seemed depressed after losing them — searching and grieving. She wanted more for this sweet girl but was only allowed to have one cat in her home. Knowing Hamari deserved a better life, she reached out for help.

When Hamari arrived, she also needed immediate medical attention. She had fleas and required comprehensive veterinary care. So far, Hamari has received:

• Spay surgery

• FVRCP vaccine

• Rabies vaccine

• Combo testing

• Microchip

• Flea treatment

• Parasite testing

• Full bloodwork

But Hamari’s journey didn’t stop there. The day after her spay surgery, she began having trouble breathing and had to be rushed back to the vet. Veterinarians discovered that she had popped an internal stitch and needed an additional procedure to repair it. What should have been a routine recovery turned into another frightening and unexpected complication for this young kitten.

These essential services — along with emergency follow-up care — quickly add up, but they were necessary to give Hamari a healthy fresh start. Now, we’re asking for your support to help cover the cost of her care.

Hamari has endured loss, stress, and multiple medical procedures in a very short time — yet she remains incredibly sweet and trusting. She’s ready for a second chance, and your donation can help make that possible.

Please consider contributing to Hamari’s fundraiser. Every donation — no matter the size — helps us continue rescuing cats like her and providing the medical care they desperately need.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing her story makes a huge difference too. Together, we can help Hamari leave heartbreak behind and start the happy life she deserves.

5/15/26 Update

We are so happy to share the wonderful ending to Hamari’s story — this sweet young girl has fully recovered and has officially been adopted into a loving home of her very own.

When Hamari first came to Adopt a Cat Foundation, she had already endured so much heartbreak in her short life. Still just a kitten herself, she had lost all three of her babies and was clearly grieving. On top of that emotional trauma, she needed extensive veterinary care and then faced an unexpected medical complication after her spay surgery that required emergency follow-up treatment.

Thankfully, because of your support, Hamari received every bit of care she needed. After her second procedure, she recovered beautifully and slowly began to relax, heal, and show her sweet personality again. The scared and grieving kitten we first met transformed into a playful, loving young cat ready to start over.

And now, her fresh start is complete.

Hamari has found a wonderful forever family who absolutely adores her. She is now safe, cherished, and finally getting the happy life every kitten deserves. After everything she has been through, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing she will never again have to face fear, pain, or loss alone.

From all of us at Adopt a Cat Foundation — and from Hamari herself — thank you for believing in her journey. Every donation, share, and kind word helped turn heartbreak into hope.
