I saw a picture of Hammy in a Facebook poster by his foster mom when he was just 4 weeks old and fell in love. 😍. I finished their fostering and then adopted Hammy and his foster sister, Poppy, a little over a year ago. They’re both about 1.5 yrs and they are best buddies, and my best little buddies! It’s just me The Twoligans (‘cuz they’re two hooligans) at home. They bring me much joy!

Hammy is currently being cared for at Carolina Veterinary Specialists n Huntersville, NC. He was vomiting last night and after consulting with our regular vet, I took him to CVS for evaluation. Radiology determined that he has a bowel obstruction in his small intestine. He is in IV fluids and waiting for x-ray recheck. It is likely that he will need surgery to remove the obstruction.

Hammy is sweet and rambunctious and curious and so very dear! He loves to steel spoons from the sink and drag them across the house to play with. 😂 (We don’t leave dangerous things in the sink for him to steal.) He loves snuggles and chin scritches and watching birds through the window with his sister, Poppy. They’re quite a pair! I love them both so very much!

I recently lost a roommate which increased my housing costs dramatically & I made some big financial sacrifices to be able to afford rent on my own. The Twoligans have been a great & essential comfort to me as my senior kitty, Lorna crossed the rainbow bridge in June.
