About this campaign

Our family was blessed with Hank in 2020 during the pandemic which became a blessing because we were available for the "new home, new life" stage, along with daily training, and love. We rescued Hank (visa-versa) from El Paso County Canine Rescue, and he has become an amazing addition to our family. Hank takes daily walks with Mom, Mountain hikes on weekends and sleeps in our bed! He's our baby!

Hank is a powerful, highly active pup who suffered from Left cranial cruciate ligament disease, which was surgically repaired last year. Lindsay Peterson (Brooks), DVM, DACVS-SA, from Colorado Canine Orthopedics informed us that there was a high likelihood that his right side would need the same surgery, and they were correct. We cannot afford the surgery at this time, so we are asking for help.

Hank is truly one of the kindest, most gentle friends anyone could ask for. He makes us laugh daily, cuddles on the couch and in bed, is wonderful with kids and other pets. he talks to us when he wants something, and we think we understand! He does several "tricks" and is very well trained. We've gone months missing his "zoomies" and his hikes/walks, and he seems somewhat depressed without them.

We are down to one income, are still paying on his first surgery and have had no choice but to wait to fix his other leg. We hate that he takes pain medication daily. We feel it has gotten to the point of him suffering all day, every day, and badly want to get him right.
