Thank you all so much for the love and support you showed this sweet boy. Because of you, he was able to get the medical care he desperately needed and is well on his way to making a full recovery. He is surrounded by a lot of love.
About this campaign
Meet Hank Daniels. This five year old boy had been wandering around a local neighborhood, scared, hungry, and alone likely for several days. We suspect his former owner dumped him and he was then left to fend for himself. After days of aimless wandering, a Good Samaritan witnessed this poor boy get hit by a car.
Lucky for Hank, this kind person stepped up and took him to get help. Enter CAMO Rescue. We couldn’t bear to watch this helpless pup go into the county shelter so we’re getting him the help he needs.
We took Hank to the vet as soon as possible where they took x rays and gave us a prognosis. What did they find? Hind limb fractures, femoral fracture with butterfly fragment and L lateral condylar, and a tibial fracture. Hank needed surgery asap.
This poor boy has already lived a life of neglect, we can’t stand to see him in pain too.
With so many broken bones and impending injuries, this surgery will be expensive. We need generous donors like you to help us cover the costs of Hank’s healing. We can do this, but not without you.

🐾 Hank Daniels Update ❤️
Hank Daniels has been through quite an ordeal. This sweet boy was hit by a car, leaving him in need of medical attention and plenty of time to recover. During his veterinary care, we also learned that Hank tested strong positive for heartworms, adding another challenge to an already difficult journey.
Hank is now undergoing heartworm treatment, and we are taking his recovery one day at a time. Heartworm treatment requires patience, rest, and careful monitoring, especially for a dog whose body has already experienced significant trauma.
Despite everything he has been through, Hank continues to hang in there. For now, our priority is keeping him comfortable, allowing his body time to heal, and making sure he receives all the medical care he needs.
There is still a road ahead for this boy, and we don’t want to rush his recovery. Right now, it’s simply day by day, celebrating the good days and giving him extra care through the harder ones.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared Hank’s story, and supported his medical care. Your support allows us to continue helping dogs like Hank when they need it most.
Keep fighting, Hank Daniels. One day at a time, sweet boy. ❤️🐾
