About this campaign
Our good boy, Hank, is a 6 mo. old English Bulldog puppy. He became a part of our family and home in the midst of our grief, 4 months ago, following the loss of our 18-year-old cat Bailey, two months ago. Our family's current living situation is in a townhome and Hank snuggles with us on our couch or bed everyday. He is crate trained and enjoys going out for short walks and basking in the sunshine
Our children's love for Hank knows no bounds, and in return, he showers them with daily doses of his signature sloppy kisses. We are utterly over the moon about the joy and companionship he brings into our home. He has been a pillar of comfort since our senior cat left us and I have spent many a night snuggling his squishy face for comfort.
Hank, our endearingly goofy and affectionate dog, has become an integral part of our family. We've affectionately nicknamed him "Hankapotamus" because he truly embodies the essence of a house hippo. Hank delights in playful role-playing, often assuming the guise of a content frog as he lounges on the couch, eagerly awaiting his next snack. His tongue remains playfully outstretched, seemingly poise
Hank needs to have his Tibula and Growth Plate pinned back in place. Without this surgery the growth cells will start to die off and he will lose growth in that leg, causing less stability and full usage of that leg later in life. We want to give him the best chance for a normal life and the recommended treatment should restore him to full mobility. He is such a sweet, boy and deserves to be whole
This costly surgery is coming at the same time as our youngest medical expenses to get him the therapies he needs to be successful at school and in life and our only other option is to surrender our dog to someone who can get him the surgery he needs.
