About this campaign
I adopted Hank (aka Hank the Tank, Hanky Panky, Hankford, Trouble, House Pamfer) at 8 weeks old with his brother Gus. We sadly lost Gus to FIP at 6 months, and soon after welcomed Hank’s sister May. Hank is now 5 and lives the most “cat life” ever—napping, snuggling, watching bird TV, and playfully harassing his sister. He’s deeply loved in an indoor home.
Hank recently developed sudden neurologic symptoms including lethargy, disorientation, balance issues, and abnormal pupil dilation. He was evaluated by a board-certified neurologist at BluePearl Downtown Seattle Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital, where MRI and spinal fluid analysis confirmed an intracranial meningioma. Surgery is recommended.
Hank is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met. He loves showing off his belly, chasing his tail in the bathtub, and constantly makes me laugh. Anyone who meets him falls in love instantly. He’s 50% seal and 50% panther. He follows me around the house yelling until I sit down, so he can hop right into my lap for snuggles. I never have to look for him, as he is always by my side or at my feet.
Surgery is incredibly expensive, and the cost of ER visits, MRI, and neurology care has exhausted my savings and financing options. Hank has an excellent chance of recovery with surgery and minimal risk of regrowth. I am optimistic that surgery can give more healthy years.
