About this campaign
Happy's brush with death was narrowly averted by a woman who saw the sweet puppy get hit by a car. She ran out, grabbed him, and raced him to a veterinarian who stitched up a giant-sized laceration on his leg. But X-rays revealed Happy also had a broken pelvis.
The good Samaritan called Pooch Savers, who immediately said: Yes, we'll take this puppy into our rescue. "Happy is young and precious and was probably scared to death," Scott from Pooch Savers tells Waggle.
Scott brought Happy to Mazie's Mission animal hospital, where the medical team determined Happy needed surgery. Without it, he would develop severe arthritis and live each day with constant discomfort. But with surgery, Happy's future looks much brighter; he can be a normal puppy and lead a long life.
Pooch Savers specializes in helping animals with medical needs and depends on donations to help them keep their doors open and to continue their pooch saving. "We front every expense, and then we hope to be able to recoup it through the generosity of supporters," Scott says.
Please help Happy get back on his feet again so he can eventually find his forever home!
