About this campaign

Happy is a young Shiba Inu mix, about 3 years old, who has likely spent years in pain.

This resilient boy came to RBARI after running loose time and time again with painful untreated entropion, a condition where the eyelids roll inward and eyelashes scrape against the eyes with every blink. This constant discomfort also causes irritation, ulcers, and infection. He underwent surgery to correct his eyes and finally give him comfort, but this came at no low cost.

But that’s not all. Happy is also recovering from wounds on both of his legs, likely after being hit by a car. He is currently receiving wound care and hydrotherapy at the shelter to help him heal.

Despite everything, Happy is friendly, playful, and full of life – hence the name! He doesn’t love the cone or hydrotherapy, but he’s being brave through it all.

RBARI needs your help to cover the cost of these treatments, so he can not only live happy, but also healthy, pain free, and hopefully in his forever home one day. Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you!
