Harley is a 10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Grand Island, FL, who needs $2,000 for Growth Removal.

We got Harley when she was six months old. She's been a constant companion. She has grown up with my children, and watches over them as if they were her own pups. My youngest son has autism, and whenever he goes into one of his fits, Harley is always there in his face, loving and calming him down. She is one of the most loving dogs I have ever owned.

When she was younger, she had a small lump on the spot that is currently our issue. The vet then told us it was nothing to worry about, just keep an eye on it and if it grew or causes any problems then we would deal with it then. Recently it's become a problem, and I've taken her to a new vet, Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital. They conducted tests, luckily its not spread, but now requires surgery

She's like family to all of us. We've had her since she was six months old. She's loving, obedient, friendly to everyone she meets. She helps my song with autism whenever he has outburst. Always there to try and calm him down. She's not just a pet to us, she's one of us.

We are a one family income. I have two children that both have autism and I'm unable to work due to the needs of my boys. My husband is the sole provider for our family, and that leaves a lot of stress on him.
