Meet Harley! She's the world's sweetest, most gentle and goofiest Great Dane. She is 3 years old and loves neck stretches, belly rubs and being called "Heffalump".

Harley came into our lives when her original hooman passed away under tragic circumstances. It was traumatic, and it took a lot of soothing pets, snuggles and love for her to recover.

Harley loves living with her family. She has 2 small dog brothers and she is always careful not to hurt them when they play. She has an extremely comfortable couch of her very own. That is, until her terrifying cat-sister takes over, lol. Her favorite person is her hooman, John. They have a very close bond.

Harley loves to play. She steals all the toys and hides them in her bed so her brother's can't have any fun. She is always excited to go for car rides. It's quite the site to see her big head sticking out of the little car. It always makes people smile.

Harley recently stopped eating and began having trouble breathing a few days ago. We rushed her to the doggy ER and they were able to rule out Bloat, but her chest x-ray was "busy". She got worse last night and now she's back in the animal hospital. She is in the care of Alicia Roberts, DVM at Western Regional Animal Hospital in Flat Rock, NC.

John recently lost his job and is having a difficult time coping. He is in treatment for PTSD and Harley is a huge part of his recovery. His mental health is linked closely to her physical health. Please help save her.
