I adopted Harlow when she was 3 months old from the Tallahassee Humane Society when I was 18 years old. I fell in love with her instantly. I named her after Jean Harlow the original" blonde bombshell" because she was the prettiest light blonde puppy I had ever laid my eyes on. For the last 9 years she has been by my side through every aspect of my adult life. We have moved to new zip codes together, clocked hundreds of hours in the car together, licked my tears away on the hard days, barked with excitement on the good days, and wagged her nub all the moments in between. She is apart of my family in every aspect. So much so Harlow has eaten many meals with me and my family, at the table. As she doesn't understand where she should sit on the floor while she could be sitting on a chair eating from a plate like the rest of her humans. Harlow gladly welcomed her "sister" into our family when my daughter was born. Harlow instantly became her protector and has always been so very patient with her. Now four years later Harlow is my daughters best friend, just like she is mine. She is my truest companion , my brothers best "niece" and my parents favorite grand-dog.
