Harmony, a Boxer/ Jack Russell mix came into my life, back in 2011 when she was 8 months old. She will be 12 on February 6th. She has truly been a gift from God. My life has been enriched because of her. She has been there for me through thick and thin. She has and continues to help me through PTSD, grief, and day to day struggles.

She loves to sleep under the covers or above my head in bed. Many times I wake up and she is laying like a person next to me in bed or lays with her head against mine. Other times she lets me know it is time for her to go under the covers. She may seem calm and laid back but look out! She often plans her next move. She's ready to play with the neighbor or play with another dog.

Harmony is very playful and intelligent. I have taught her to go after shoelaces and untie them. She has even learned how to open her food container. When she wants to play, I ask her to go and get a certain toy. Rarely, she gets the wrong toy. She is very loving and can't give enough kisses. Our favorite game is the kissing game to see who kisses first. She often wins due to cheating. Lol.

Last week, I took Harmony to the vet to get her nails trimmed and also for a suspicious mass on her left side. The vet aspirated it and looked at the cells under a microscope. They appeared to be cancerous. We won’t know for sure until it is totally removed with a margin. The vet was adamant about getting it removed.

I was totally shocked and devastated when I was told it appeared cancerous. Harmony has enriched my life. I can't imagine life without her. I want her to be healthy. I don't have the money to have the mass removed. I hate asking for help but any amount would help.
