Harpo has recently been diagnosed with a prostate tumor. He has the opportunity to extend his life, and more importantly, live out his days comfortably with a clinical treatment available at the UC Davis. A procedure called embolization. I have had Harpo since a pup, and we have been through a lot of tough times together. He's a trooper, and extremely stoic. My hero!

Harpo was named after one of the Marx brothers (the silent comedian) for the qualities of his namesake, which have always been a continuous gift of making others laugh through silent comedic actions. His enormous amount of love and affection for others and giving comfort to those in need. Non-stop bullie hugs and kisses for everyone.

Loss of job (covid related) after a big move and able to get full-time work, but a lot less money and barely make ends meet. I have already spent several thousand and maintain the monthly cost for Harpo (meds,etc), but all saved funds are gone and the procedure is expensive.

embolization (a newer procedure of treatment) is that the arterial bloodstream (ie. the blood supply to the tumor) is entered and an agent (implanting beads) is inserted to occlude the blood supply to the tumor, causing it to shrink and stop growing.The procedure is essentially eliminating the “nutrition” that the tumor needs to grow, and as a result, the tumor cells die. Harpo has spent a good part of his life creating laughter and joy for others. He has been affiliated with Hope Hospice when we lived in Socal as part of his volunteer work as a therapy dog bringing comfort and joy to others. He has changed people's lives for the better and my goal is to give him what I believe is a better chance of living a longer, higher quality of life. He's Adora Bull!
