About this campaign
I had wanted a dog for as long as I could remember as a kid, my parents finally decided in 2013 that they would get me a dog and that is when Hayley came into my life. I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety and my parents hoped that a dog would help me and give me more of a purpose to get out of bed everyday and get out of the house to go on walks.
Hayley sleeps in my bed with me every single night. She loves going for walks, anywhere at all as long as it is with me, she is super happy to be going on walks again since the TPLO surgery on her knee. She loves butt scratches and any attention from me or other people. She loves to sit specifically on the corner of the couch to put her head on the arm rest. She's happy to be wherever we are.
Hayley has a best friend who is a Golden Retriever named Lola, and at home she gets along really well with our cat Nelly. Nelly sometimes begs Hayley for attention! Hayley is my service dog, she's completely changed my life around from what it used to be when I first got her to before I even had her. She's definitely saved my life in more ways than one.
Some months ago she ruptured her CCL, we got TPLO surgery done for that 6 weeks ago. We borrowed the $4100 for that because we could not afford it, and we are still paying it off. Now she needs a tooth extraction, which is another $1080. Hayley's veterinary is Cheltenham Veterinary Centre in Victoria Ontario.
I want to give her nothing but the best but we are seriously struggling as we couldn't even afford the first bill that we're still paying off. It would mean the world to get help here so that we can finally breathe under all these bills that keep coming one after another.
