Hazel is a 7-year-old American Bully in Kansas City, KS, who needs $2,000 for Blood Work, Testing, and Possibly Chest Surgery.

I bought hazel when she was a puppy around less than a month old. I saw when she was born. We been together mostly of her life. I was 15 years old when i got her. I am 22. She is 7 years old. She was born on March 13 2016. I chose to name her Hazel because of her eye color. I love her so much. What is happening to her was me heart broken and depressed. I just want her to get better and be well.

Hazel is super sweet. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old daughter. They play around and Hazel is gentle with them. She loves to be around us and always wants to sleep close to us. She is trained and listens and follows directions such as let's go out, eat your food, sit and other simple directions. She loves to play outside and loves to be chased by us.

Hazel is a good dog and listens to me well. She is very friendly and loves kids. We do notice she smiles a lot when she's happy and we can tell when she is happy. We definitely know she doesn't like water, she hated baths and swimming. She has been a healthy dog until all of this recently. I could not imagine my life without her.

Hazel has fluid around her lungs that is not allowing her lungs to expand to breathe normally. Hazel needs the fluid removed from around her lungs to help her breathe. Even if they removed the fluid it can reoccur. She will need further work-up, testing and treatment possibly a surgery for the underlying cause.

This has been an unexpected sudden major expense with no emergency funds. We are trying everything we can to get the money for her testing and treatment possibly a surgery. She is very important to our lives and we love her so much.
