About this campaign
I was told by the internet that orange cats have no brain cells. So one day when an orange kitty with orange eyes popped up I just had to take him in and see for myself. And I fear Heli took the brain cells. Sorry y’all. No brain cells for the other orange cats because Heli needs the to reign chaos over his kingdom (all 650sqft of a one bed 😂) Heli is amazing, but his story is a sad one.
Heli was taken to the vet for a difficult case: blunt force trauma. On Monday 2/16 I went to work as usual and left my ex boyfriend in my home. The kitties know him so I thought it was ok. However he has been going through his own problems lately and snapped when Heli approached a bag of chicken he was defrosting. He brutally beat Heli while I was away at work leaving Heli with multiple injuries.
Heli is full of life and incredibly energetic! He loves going on walks outside. Knocking over headphones, pulling command hooks off the wall and meal times. He’s super vocal and will make sure everyone in a 100ft radius knows it’s time to eat. He’s loving and trusting and loves pets and attention. It breaks my heart to know that this abuse has made him lose trust in people, but justly so.
I want Heli to wake me up when breakfast is a minute late, for him to have the zoomies with his kitty siblings. No one wants to see their baby in pain; so I got him all the care he needed in the moment resulting in vet costs over $3k that my job alone cannot cover.
