About this campaign

Abhin was living on the streets with a massive, infected wound stretching across his ear and neck. Yet when rescuers found him late at night, he was doing what he had to do to survive: searching for food.

Despite the pain he must have been experiencing, Abhin was still friendly. But his wound was severe, crawling with maggots and in serious need of veterinary care.

Solti's Hope Street Animal Rescue immediately brought Abhin to safety. Their veterinary team spent more than an hour carefully removing thousands of maggots, cleaning the extensive wound and beginning treatment for the infection.

Abhin has a long road to recovery ahead. His wound will require continued cleaning, medication, monitoring and time to properly heal. But for the first time, he no longer has to face it alone. He has regular meals, a safe place to rest and people committed to helping him recover.

Solti's Hope is already caring for more than 65 medical cases in its clinic, along with over 250 dogs and 30 rescued farm animals at the sanctuary. Every emergency adds to the cost of providing food, medication, veterinary treatment and daily care, but leaving Abhin behind was never an option.

Please consider donating to help cover Abhin’s ongoing medical care. Every contribution can help give this sweet street dog the chance to heal and experience a life beyond simply surviving.
