About this campaign

We adopted Auggie and his brother Todd very young. He is the definition of curiosity. Cars and doors are his special fascinations. He will sit by the kitchen door for hours to watch it open and close. When a car pulls in the driveway, he is quick to greet them by hopping on the hood of the car, or getting in if they'll let him. He loves to be where all the people are.

Auggie was suffering from a urinary blockage requiring emergency surgery at Pine Hollow Vet Services. The loving, energetic cat has become lethargic from the pain. The team has provided diagnostic care, but surgery is the next step.

The brothers are my first cats, and they have been in the family for their entire lives, which we would love to be as long as possible. He shares a close bond with his brother, and I couldn't imagine ripping that away from him.

My father is retired, my mother is battling cancer, and my sisters and I are college students. College was only an option for us because of federal and state grants and minimal scholarships. At this point in our lives, expensive emergency surgery is a financial burden.
