SHOT POINT-BLANK IN THE CHEST. SHE IS BLEEDING OUT. PLEASE HELP US SAVE HER.

Bebe should never have had to fight this hard to stay alive. After being shot in the chest at point-blank range, this poor dog was found collapsed, bleeding heavily, and fighting for her life. When NYC Second Chance Rescue received an urgent plea from a county shelter, they knew Bebe needed immediate intervention.

Without emergency care, her future was heartbreakingly uncertain.

Bebe was rushed toward critical care, where veterinarians discovered that although the bullet exited her body, it tore through her esophagus, leaving behind a devastating injury. The damage is so severe that even her own saliva leaks through the tear and out of an open wound in her neck.

Bebe survived the shooting, but her fight is far from over.

An NG tube has been placed to provide nutrition while her body stabilizes. Once she is strong enough, Bebe will need delicate, high-risk surgery to repair her esophagus, along with a feeding tube placed directly into her stomach to allow the injury to heal.

Her condition remains critical but stable, and her medical bills have already climbed into the thousands. With major surgery, hospitalization, and recovery still ahead, NYC Second Chance Rescue urgently needs help covering the cost of her lifesaving care.

It is difficult to imagine how frightened and painful this experience has been for Bebe. She has already endured unimaginable suffering, yet she is still fighting for a chance at a future.

Please help us give Bebe that chance. Every donation helps provide the specialized treatment she desperately needs.

Bebe's life cannot be defined by the cruelty she endured. With your support, we can help her overcome this horrific injury and give her the opportunity to know safety, kindness, and love.

Please donate today and stand with NYC Second Chance Rescue as we fight for Bebe's life.
