Help Bring Bizou Back To Life

Bizou isn’t even five months old, but this tiny kitten has already endured more suffering than any animal should.

Someone abandoned Bizou on the street, sick, weak, and unable to fend for herself. By the time she was found and taken in by Alyarz Pet Club, she was barely holding on. Her little body was exhausted, her coat was filthy and severely matted, and it was clear she desperately needed medical attention.

Bizou was rushed for bloodwork, and the results revealed just how critical her condition was.

Her hematocrit was only 5%.

Bizou was suffering from life-threatening anemia. Her red blood cell level was so dangerously low that there was no time to wait—without an emergency blood transfusion, she might not survive.

Thankfully, a matching blood donor was found, and Bizou received the lifesaving transfusion she desperately needed.

But her fight is far from over.

Bizou remains hospitalized and is receiving IV fluids and supportive care as veterinarians work to stabilize her. She needs continued monitoring, repeat bloodwork, medication, further testing to determine what caused her severe anemia, and whatever additional treatment is necessary to help her recover.

At less than five months old, Bizou should be discovering toys, curling up somewhere safe, and experiencing the carefree life of a kitten. Instead, she is fighting for her life because someone left her behind when she needed help the most.
