About this campaign

Bubba is a 110-lb gentle giant whom I rescued right off the streets of Detroit. He had a rough start to life, but his resilient, loving spirit captured my heart instantly. Donors love him because he is a true survivor who beat heartworms and painful polyps thanks to our fighting spirit. He is the ultimate sweet rescue boy who just needs this final hurdle cleared to run again.

Bubba has a complete Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) rupture (torn ACL). Because he is 110 lbs, his knee is entirely unstable and painful. The required treatment is TPLO surgery to physically restructure his bone and stabilize the joint. This procedure and his recovery care will be performed at Grosbeck animal hospital

Bubba is my anchor through a painful separation and job loss; his gentle eyes keep me moving. Because he is a massive 110 lbs, his knee has no natural support left. This surgery is vital for his recovery because it is the only way to stop his severe pain, stabilize his heavy frame, and allow him to walk normally again without ruining his other leg.

I cannot afford Bubba’s surgery. I am separated, unemployed, and living off my 401k. I also care for 7 indoor rescues and 15 stray cats. I spent $10,425 on his past care and X-rays. My savings are gone. Help is my only hope.
