Buddy’s Final Update ❤️
Buddy is home and recovering, and we are so incredibly grateful to be able to say that.
What started as a terrifying emergency quickly became one of the hardest experiences we’ve ever been through. Buddy needed emergency surgery, and the costs of his care were far beyond what we could have managed on our own.
Because of everyone who donated, shared Buddy’s story, prayed for him, and followed along with his journey, we were able to get him the emergency care he needed. Your support helped make his surgery, hospitalization, medications, follow-up care, and recovery possible.
Buddy still has a road ahead of him. He’s recovering from surgery, getting plenty of rest, and slowly getting back to being his goofy, happy self. Seeing him home with his family again is something we will never take for granted.
There truly are no words big enough to express how thankful we are. Every single donation, no matter the amount, made a difference. Every share helped Buddy’s story reach another person. And every message of encouragement reminded us that we weren’t facing this alone.

About this campaign
Buddy is a goofy, loving little soul who has been part of our family for years. He’s a hilarious mix of Jack Russell, Blue Heeler & Chihuahua, with a huge personality packed into 27 pounds. He loves being with his people, following us everywhere, and making us laugh. He’s not “just a dog”—he’s our family, and we’re fighting desperately for more time with our sweet boy.
Buddy suffered a life-threatening urinary blockage and was urgently unblocked yesterday at VCA Shoreline Emergency Hospital. He now needs an emergency cystotomy to remove bladder stones and prevent another potentially fatal blockage. Highway Animal Hospital provided a $3,200 surgical estimate, but his surgery cannot be scheduled until we can secure the funds.
Buddy was abandoned by his previous owner, and when he came to us, he was deeply depressed and had lost his spark. I stepped up for him, and slowly, he became himself again. Today, he is incredibly attached to me, Missy, and Roxie—we are his whole world, and he is ours. We gave Buddy a family when he needed one, and now we desperately want the chance to give him more happy years with us.
Buddy’s blockage happened suddenly, leaving us facing an emergency we weren’t prepared for. We’ve done everything we can to stabilize him, but his $3,200 surgery is beyond what we can afford. We’re asking our community to help us give Buddy the surgery he desperately needs.

We have a little bit of good news to share! 🥹 One incredibly kind anonymous donor has helped Buddy with a $150 donation through Waggle, and we are so incredibly grateful. ❤️
That $150 is already helping us get closer to covering the care Buddy still needs, but we still have a long way to go.
Buddy is home recovering from his procedure, but he still needs his prescription food, medication, and a follow-up appointment to have his stitches removed. We also have additional veterinary expenses ahead of us.
We’re doing everything we can for our boy, but the cost of everything has been overwhelming. If everyone who sees Buddy’s story could contribute even $10 or $20, it would add up and make such a huge difference for him. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing his story can help us reach someone who can. ❤️

🚨 BUDDY UPDATE 🚨
We just had another scary development with Buddy. 💔
After recently surviving a life-threatening urinary blockage, Buddy is now urinating blood. I immediately contacted his vet, and thankfully they are going to see him tomorrow.
I’m absolutely terrified, especially because we still don’t know exactly what caused his blockage and we’re trying so hard to get him the treatment he needs.
I’m doing everything I possibly can for my boy, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. I never imagined we would be facing this much so quickly.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would help us tremendously. And if you can’t donate, sharing Buddy’s campaign could make an enormous difference.
