About this campaign
Our beloved 2-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Carter’s journey started with heartbreak. He originally belonged to an owner who suddenly passed away. On January 17th 2026, we officially adopted him as he nowhere else to go. We promised him that he would never feel abandoned, or be unsafe ever again. He quickly became the absolute center of our world always playing with his dog brother Lincoln.
Since May 2026, Carter has been dealing with a severe seizure disorder. We have been meticulously tracking his episodes, keeping him on strict daily anti-seizure medications. Carter’s condition escalated into a life-threatening crisis in September as he suffered a violent storm of consecutive cluster seizures. averaging multiple episodes just minutes apart.
Carter is very special as he has already lost one owner and made us his home. He is our son and we do not want to lose him. Carter stepped into our lives when he needed a home, and now we are doing everything humanly possible to save his life. We love our boy deeply. He should not lose another home!
We are facing significant financial strain right now. As first-time homeowners managing unexpected household expenses, we hit a hard financial wall after a recent emergency cluster seizure crisis. Our emergency veterinary debt on CareCredit has reached $7,184, completely maxing out our credit lines.
