Tiny Chikis Is Facing Multiple Serious Health Challenges

At just a year and a half old, Chikis should have a lifetime of love, playtime, and happy memories ahead of her. Instead, this tiny girl is facing several serious medical challenges, and she needs our help.

Despite everything she is going through, she remains incredibly calm and loving. Her affectionate personality has captured the hearts of everyone caring for her at CAMO Rescue, and they are determined to give her the chance at a healthy, happy future that she deserves.

Unfortunately, Chikis has been diagnosed with a severe heart murmur. This means her veterinarian can hear a very pronounced abnormal sound when listening to her heart, raising serious concerns about her cardiac health.

Chikis now requires heart medication, along with additional testing to determine exactly what is happening. Her veterinary team has recommended X-rays and an echocardiogram, a specialized ultrasound that will allow them to examine her heart's structure and function. These tests are essential to understanding her condition and determining the best course of treatment.

As if that weren't enough for this little girl to endure, Chikis has also tested positive for heartworms, a potentially life-threatening disease that can damage the heart and lungs. She is also battling an upper respiratory infection, adding another complication to an already difficult situation.

With so many medical concerns happening at once, Chikis needs careful veterinary attention and a treatment plan that takes all of her conditions into account.

CAMO Rescue is committed to giving Chikis every opportunity to get better, but the cost of her diagnostics, medications, and ongoing medical care is adding up.

Chikis may be tiny, but her life is worth fighting for. She has so much love left to give and deserves the opportunity to experience a future filled with comfort, safety, and happiness.

Please consider donating toward Chikis' medical expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help CAMO Rescue get this sweet little girl the answers and care she desperately needs.
