About this campaign
At just 1 month old. I found him when he was a tiny, fragile kitten who needed around-the-clock care. Because he was so small, I became his protector, and he became my family. I watched him grow from a helpless baby into the gentlest soul I have ever known.
If you know Chillon you know he is pure love. He is a constant, comforting presence who seems to read my emotions perfectly. Whether he is the sweetest most gentle and funny cat ever, he fills my home with unconditional warmth. He has been my anchor through every single one of life's ups and downs.
My heart shattered when the cardiologist diagnosed him with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), which has led to congestive heart failure.
HCM is a disease that causes the heart muscle to thicken, making it incredibly hard for his little heart to pump blood. Hearing that the tiny kitten I raised, who is now my best friend, is fighting for his life is a pain I wouldn't wish on anyone.
The hopeful news is that HCM can be managed. With veterinary cardiology specialists, regular monitoring echocardiograms, and critical daily medications (like diuretics and blood thinners), we can give him a comfortable, happy, and high-quality life by my side.
However, advanced cardiac veterinary care is incredibly expensive. Between emergency vet stays, specialist consultations, and ongoing prescriptions, the costs are rapidly mounting out of my reach. Having raised him since he was just 4 weeks old, I refuse to give up on him. He fought to survive as a kitten, and I want to fight for him now but I cannot do it alone.
He isn't just a pet he is a foundational member of our family who has been our anchor through life's hardest moments. His recovery matters so deeply because our home would be completely empty without his gentle spirit. He has been our anchor through life's hardest moments, and we refuse to give up on him now when he needs us most.
Turning to the community is a step born out of pure love and necessity, as the financial reality of treating advanced feline heart disease is simply too high to carry alone.
While we are doing everything we can, the sudden and overwhelming cost of emergency stabilization, veterinary cardiology specialists, ongoing echocardiograms, and daily life-saving medications has quickly exceeded our family's savings. We are turning to our community because medical bills should never be the reason a beloved family member's life is cut short, and your collective generosity is the only way we can afford to give him the fighting chance he deserves.
