Help Chowder get Dental cleaning/tooth extraction — Los Angeles, CA

Chowder is a rescue- he is full of spunk, but also very traumatized. I adopted him right before I went on disability leave and it's clear he has a lot of trauma- I think he was physically abused. He has kept me sane during my time of healing and has also helped me battle my depression and anxiety. He soothes and calms me. He's the dog I always wanted.

Chowder has had really bad dental issues since I rescued him- I hadn't noticed until a few days after I brought him home and he was acclimated. The vets have told me he will need extractions. I don't currently have a vet, but the treatment I was quoted at Kinder 4 Rescue was $2800.

Chowder is my emotional support dog. He calms me when I have panic or anxiety attacks by lying down on me and making sure I reset my nervous system. I need to also take care of him, in the same way he has shown up for me, unconditionally.

I have been on disability due to a shoulder injury since July of 2024. Times are tough and I have been trying to make ends meet with my own health issues as well. Honestly, I would be happy with even helping raise the cost of a basic dental cleaning.
