About this campaign

Stray Dog Support's partner Hope Rescue received an urgent call about a dog in Heliopolis, a suburb of Cairo, who desperately needed help.

When they found her, she was trying to move around on her head and chest because both of her front legs were broken.

They have named her CLEO after another dog they rescued named Cleopatra, who suffered the exact same devastating injuries.

Seeing her in this condition was absolutely heartbreaking. She was completely exhausted, covered in ticks, severely malnourished, and nothing but skin and bones. She was in such terrible condition that had she been left out there much longer, she would have died.

And they believe someone may have done this to her intentionally. Both front legs are broken in a way that makes us fear she was struck from the front.

However, Cleo is finally safe.

She has been given food, pain medication, and a soft place to rest. But now, the real fight begins.

Cleo will undergo a full medical evaluation, including blood work, X-rays, and ultrasounds.

Sadly, because of the severity and complexity of her injuries, trying to repair both legs would likely cause her even more suffering and complications. Cleo will need both front legs amputated.

This is an urgent case, and her hospitalization, diagnostics, and two surgeries will be very expensive.

Please help Stray Dog Support give Cleo the chance to survive, heal, and to one day know what it feels like to be safe and loved.

No amount is too small for this sweet girl, and every dollar is greatly appreciated.
