Help Cloud See a Future Beyond War

Cloud survived a war. Now, he needs help surviving what it left behind.

When families were finally able to return to their homes in Dahyeh after the ceasefire, they found heartbreaking reminders of the animals who had been left to endure the violence. Cloud was one of them. He was discovered injured, weak, and alone, his body covered in wounds and his eyes severely infected.

Somehow, through everything—the fear, the destruction, the hunger, and the pain—Cloud survived.

But his suffering isn’t over yet. Cloud’s eyelids are turning inward, causing them to painfully rub against his eyes with every blink. He now urgently needs surgery on both eyes, a procedure that will cost approximately $550 and could finally give him relief from the constant irritation and pain.

Cloud is also FIV-positive and has already battled dehydration, anemia, and illness. Yet after everything humans and war have put him through, he is still incredibly sweet and trusting.

Cloud fought to stay alive when his world was falling apart around him. Now, he deserves more than survival. He deserves to open his eyes without pain and finally know what it feels like to be safe.

Please donate to help give this gentle war survivor the eye surgery—and the future—he deserves.
