About this campaign

Rescued by Reba's Animal Rescue at just 2 weeks old back in May, Cloud has attended many of their events, been the greeter at the office door, and a wiggly, smiling ambassador for Reba's Animal Rescue. She is a beautiful, 5-month-old German Shepherd mix.

For most puppies, mealtime means an eagerly emptied bowl and maybe a treat afterward.

For Cloud, every meal is a struggle.

She experiences chronic regurgitation after eating, and their veterinary team suspects a vascular ring anomaly: a condition in which a blood vessel can constrict the esophagus and prevent food from passing normally into the stomach.

Right now, Cloud cannot simply eat a bowl of puppy food or enjoy a regular treat. Every meal must be carefully blended into a smoothie-like consistency to help it pass through her restricted esophagus.

On October 12, Cloud will undergo a CT scan to confirm the diagnosis and give her veterinary team the detailed information needed to plan her care. The scan alone will cost approximately $2,200. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the surgery she is likely to need is estimated to cost another $5,000 to $7,000. Even though they will need more for her aftercare.

Even a small donation would make a big difference. Reba's Animal Rescue appreciates every donation, which will be used for her care. Thank you!
