Cryo: A Gentle Heart Deserving of a Forever Family

When Cryo was rescued on a cold, rainy day in January 2026, he was in pain—but that didn't stop him from reaching for the people who came to help him. Even in those first moments, Cryo was eager for affection, showing the gentle, loving personality that makes him such a special dog.

At 7 years old, Cryo is a lovable pit mix with a unique story and an even bigger heart. A DNA test revealed that he is 39% Pit Bull and 11% Border Collie, along with several other breeds. But there is no test needed to tell us what matters most about Cryo: he is incredibly sweet, affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he is close to his people.

Cryo has already endured more medical challenges than any dog should have to face. He underwent a difficult heartworm treatment, including painful moments when he cried out from the discomfort. He has also undergone bilateral FHO surgery and is now working hard through rehabilitation as he continues to recover.

His journey isn't over yet. Cryo will need ongoing physical therapy, as well as an implant to treat a condition affecting his eye. Donations to Cryo's campaign will help Corridor Rescue cover the costs of the medical care he has already received, as well as the continued treatment and supportive care he needs, including:

• Bilateral FHO surgery: $2,383

• Heartworm treatment: $390

• Physical therapy consultation: $148

• Ophthalmic ointment: $50 per tube; Cryo has already used four tubes, with additional ointment needed until his eye implant

• Eye implant: approximately $100, plus associated veterinary costs, which have not yet been estimated

• Ongoing joint supplements: needed three times a year to support his mobility and comfort throughout his life

These expenses reflect the significant medical care Cryo has already needed, along with the continued treatment and supportive care ahead of him. Every donation will help Corridor Rescue continue providing the care Cryo needs as he works toward a healthier, more comfortable future.

And through it all, Cryo has remained the same loving dog who simply wants to be someone's couch potato.
