About this campaign

Darcy is my 14-year-old baby. She is the sweetest cat and my little shadow. She greets me every morning and every time I come home with the loudest meows and requests for belly rubs. She has the goofiest personality and can always be found purring next to me.

After surgery failed to get clean margins, Darcy will require 15 radiation sessions to battle adenocarcinoma – a somewhat rare cancer that began in her third eyelid. Her radiation sessions will take place at Cornell University Hospital for Animals. She will have to go to the hospital everyday Monday through Friday for three weeks.

Darcy has been with me since the time I moved to my first apartment and took my first job. I adopted her because every home needs a cat and she has been with me through every step of my adult life.

This treatment is just beyond the scope of what I can afford. I already spent $3,200 for surgery hoping we would be able to remove all the cancer, but we did not receive clean margins. That is not going to stop me from getting Darcy the radiation she needs.
