About this campaign
Dexter is a crazy mischievous boy who was born on Friday the 13th in October of 2023. He was my Christmas gift to myself and I’ve had him since December 26th 2023. I can still remember walking out to meet him when he arrived to my home. I remember holding him close to my chest and falling in love with him right away. The last almost 3 years with him has been almost perfect.
8/21 he was taken into the emergency vet because of a urinary blockage. Over $4000 later he was all fixed up and sent home with me 8/24. The week after was full of ups and downs but on 8/29 after he would use the litter box he would growl, hiss, and seemed to be in a lot of pain. Today, this just continued. I can’t afford another vet visit. If I take him back they are going to suggest euthanasia.
Dexter means everything to me, and I know he feels the same way about me. When I come home he means me at the door, demands food then after he’s done eating he is glued to my side. He won’t even let me use the bathroom by myself. There isn’t a single mean bone in his body, I never heard him even hiss before all this started. I don’t have any children so my cats are my children.
Dexter last vet visit cost over $4200 and I couldn’t even afford that, a friend helped me. I don’t want to completely lose my baby so I’m trying everything I can to get the help he desperately needs.
