About this campaign
Dutches came into my life during one of the hardest times I’ve ever faced, and she quickly became so much more than a pet. She is loyal, gentle, loving, and has the sweetest personality. She is my daughter’s best friend and a beloved part of our family.
Dutches has developed an obstruction in her stomach/intestines that requires immediate surgery to remove it and prevent her condition from becoming life-threatening. She is currently in need of urgent veterinary care, and we are doing everything we can to get her the treatment she needs.
Dutches is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. She is incredibly loyal, gentle, and loving, and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She has never hurt a fly. She is our best friend and provides us with comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.
I am asking for help because Dutches means more to our family than words can express. She is a huge part of our family. The cost of emergency surgery is more than I can manage on my own right now. Please help us give Dutches the chance to come home where she belongs.

Dutches was cleared by Dr. Campbell this week! A few more weeks of restrictions and my girl should be back to herself. Thanks so much everyone who has been following along!

We back back to see her favorite people (I may have been replaced) because there was some irritation and concerns with her incision. Hopefully things progress smoothly from here out.

We've made it past the 72 hour mark and are hopefully on the up and up now. Dutches has, begrudgingly, agreed to the bland diet and is taking her meds like a champ. She is back to being her cuddly self, she never runs out of love to give. Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of my girls journey. She is loved more than she knows ❤️

Well, we had a pretty rough first night. Dutches began vomiting in her sleep and then became incredibly restless. We went back to the clinic this morning, and the amazing surgeon Dr. Campbell came in (on yet another) day off to observe her. After an ultrasound we found out she has some fluids in her stomach. This could be left over from surgery or it could be a leak at her incision. She was given some more fluids a and antibiotics and sent home with a pain medication. Now if we could only get her to take them! Ill be keeping a close eye on her today and she will be back to see her new bestie, Dr. Campbell, tomorrow to check again.

Dutchess is currently at the vet. She will be getting fluids for a few hours prior to surgery. They are scheduled to start at 12pm 🙏 ❤️
