Final update · September 15, 2026
ELA has a mass near the esophagus stomach area. They did a biopsy today. This will help pay for the explorative surgery of the biopsy. High chance it might be cancer or not we will know in one week. After that, we will know if a treatment is an option or not hopefully if it’s not an aggressive answer sometimes it can be treated by steroids and medication or very small chance. It could be some sort of a parasite. This was done at Anicira Manassas Va location
About this campaign
Ela was the abandoned kitten who lived in the cost of Turkey. Locals would take care of the stray cats such as her, but since she was a little kitten, she would get bullied by the older cats and chased off so she wouldn’t get a chance to eat regularly, she forced her away into my parents house and would not leave hence becoming a part of the family and arrived here In 2019. She’s a very caring cat almost like a dog will always see me off to work and he’s waiting for me to get home never leaves my side follows me around like a dog does very talkative. Very happy as far as cats go I’ve had many cats, but this one is the most curious one of them all but recently.
I don’t know how her health started deteriorating. She was throwing up constantly and the last couple of days she was very lethargic and weak. She didn’t eat for several days once we went to the animal hospital got blood work done and now an ultrasound they’re saying that there’s a massive in your stomach. They’re not sure what it is. It could be cancer or could be something such as a polyp That is easily dealt with. I’ve been told the expenses for these can be upwards and around $3000 to $5000 minimum, this was told to me at the animal hospital in Springfield Regional Veterinary Referral Center. I was able to get a loan through CareCredit for $3000, but I’ve already gone through it with the bloodwork and the ultrasound extra care. Unfortunately I have poor Credit don’t have any money set aside as I don’t make that much money, but I don’t want to abandon her to her fate if it can be helped.
Ela is literally a part of the family always in your face always talkative always watching your every move talking back to you extremely playful. You can sense her presence when she’s in the room as a very positive feeling such a lovely little girl my children and anyone that meets her immediately falls in love with her as she’s already had a very tough life in the beginning of her life. I truly believe this girl deserves a chance if we can help her I don’t want to abandon all hope for her because I cannot afford her procedure.
I do not make too much money. I have two kids in college where I pay their tuition. My credit is bad due to a divorce that made my financial situation extremely poor.
